Hello guys, I am from Jhansi currently in my final year. I started my engineering graduation journey in 2020 from the KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad. My branch is Information Technology. My college campus experience is still good and filled with lots of memories. And I hope my last year will also be as expected.

KIET is an AICTE-affiliated college. It has 18.21 acres of campus. Talking about the gender ratio in my college, Males 79% and males 21%. KIET is considered to be good in terms of studies and discipline. It is one of the top private colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The campus includes a single-story library, cafeteria, hungry nights(It is also a kind of food corner), automation labs, research labs, an Auditorium with a capacity of around 400 students, Gyms(separate for boys and girls), football and cricket ground, various sports complex. There is also a medical facility available for hostelers as well as day-scholars.

First Year Experience

My first year experience was totally online as at that time covid entered into the world. Officially we are also known as the Covid batch. My whole interaction with class, faculty, and friends was online, this is the reason I didn’t have many friends at that time. Classes were scheduled in the morning from 9 AM till 5 PM in the evening. There were quizzes and doubt-clearing sessions conducted so that the student could clear all their doubts about the concepts. Since it’s a private college, here professors are instructed to cover each and every topic of the syllabus without fail. I also studied well in my first year, even my CGPA was also good at that time. My college was open for just one month in the second semester but as soon as cases of covid second wave were reported, the college again shut down.

Second Year Experience

My second year was somewhere challenging but very fascinating year of my college. It was the time when my physical journey in college was started .There were various options to in the college including tech or non-tech. Also I was able to expand my friend circle in the college. I joined a developers Student club to enhance my coding skills. Faculty members and my department HOD were very supportive. They always encourage us to explore and innovate, and don’t stick to just one domain. Class tests were conducted very month to test our academic knowledge, also they were considered for our internals. Hence it was important to prepare well for CT’s and not take it lightly. During that period I was also selected as a mentee for Microsoft Engage 2022 in their mentorship program. That was a wonderful experience for me, I learnt a lot of skills at that time including machine learning, python, git, teamwork, communication, presentation .Though i was not selected as an intern in Microsoft but I believe every failure is the beginning to success and that’s the reason Microsoft is now my dream company. I had attended various bootcamps of technologies like flutter and web-development to explore more about technologies. My academic percentage was also overall good in second year. Overall I would say it was a good Experience.

Third Year Experience

Third Year – A stressful year of every engineering student. Third year is famous for internships and jobs, but my batch is covered in recession period, hence the opportunity for internships and jobs were very low. Since there was a pressure of academic as well as placement season, all these made me more focused and dedicated towards studies. I polished my problem solving and critical thinking abilities, made my data structures and algorithms(DSA) strong. Also to test my skills I joined various coding contests. My domain was front-end in web-development, I made various mini projects on this technology, but I found DSA more interesting. Apart from all these, I was able to manage my time for myself. Since I was a hosteller so we had fun, late nights party and even enjoyed movies and web -series with my friends. Hostel life is once in life so I wanted to live it very heartly.

Now it is my fourth year in the campus and hope that this will bring success in my life. Currently my placement season is going on, and I am totally focused on studies right now, but yes i will never forget my college campus experience in my life because it was very fascinating, thrilled, and joyful.
