Difference between Android 1.1 and Android 4.0.3

Android 1.1 is the second version of Android which was introduced by Google after Android 1.0. It had all the features that were included in the previous version i.e. Android 1.0 and also some more features were added in this version. Some features were added in caller applications like hiding and showing of the numeric keyboard. The feature for saving MMS attachments was also added in this version. It also does not have the official version name like Android 1.0 but unofficially it is called Banana Bread. The API level in Android 1.1 is 2. It was released on 9 February 2009.

Android 4.0.3 is next version of Android after Android 4.0.2 which was introduced by Google. It had all the features of previous versions and some new features were added in this version. Key user features like social stream API in contacts provider to show updates associated to your contacts, video stabilization, QVGA video resolution API access, accessibility API refinements for screen readers and calendar provider updates were introduced in this version. Its version name is Ice Cream Sandwich. The API level in Android 4.0.3 is 15. It was released on 16 December 2011.
