Recently, Deutsche Bank came to our campus for an internship and placement.

I am very happy to tell you that I got selected for the opportunity, as this is one of my dream companies so I wanted to share my whole experience of the hiring process. There were overall 4 online rounds conducted.

  • Online Coding Test.
  • Technical Round.
  • Professional-fitment Round.
  • HR Round.

Round 1(Online Coding Test – 90 mins): There were 2 coding questions and 10 MCQs. MCQs were based on core topics like Operating systems, DBMS, and DSA questions. Overall the MCQs were quite easy to solve.

Coding Questions –

  • You have x Rs with you. You go to a shop and the shopkeeper tells you the price as y Rs per chocolate. He also tells you that you can get chocolate in return for z wrappers. How many maximum chocolates you can eat?
  • There are N heroes and M monsters, the powers of heroes and monsters are reported in the array. a hero can defeat a monster if his power is greater than a monster, and after defeating he gets some coins. so we have to find the how many coins we can collect,

out of more than 500 students from college 8 students got shortlisted for the further round.

Technical Round: My interview was scheduled for 11:15 am

  • Walk me through your resume
  • I had one project in which I used python so she asked me, how to connect python with MySQL.
  • Write a pseudocode for determining the length of the string in a notepad.
  • Create a query to locate names that appear more than once in a table.
  • What is normalisation.
  • In HTML, how many heading tags are there?
  • Have you implemented the OOP concepts in your project?
  • Explain the 4 pillars of the OOP.
  • Any questions you would like to ask?

Ask the interviewer at least one question to show your interest in the company. I asked her, “What tech stack do interns often have the opportunity to work in?”

Out of 8 students, 5 got shortlisted for the second round.

Professional-fitment Round: My interview was scheduled at 1:35 pm and for 20 mins.

  • Introduce yourself
  • So he started to ask me about my hobbies, what I do on weekends other than studies
  • Explain to me your projects and what modifications you can do to them.
  • I lead that project so he asked me what difficulties you faced during the project.
  • Where do you see yourself in five years
  • Why do you want to be in DB?
  • Do you have any questions?

The interviewer was so chill, I wear a tie on my dress so he got impressed by it as well. This round is all about the way you communicate with the person. Just stay calm throughout the interview.

Out of 5 students, 3 were shortlisted for the next and final round

HR Round: My interview was scheduled at 3:45 pm and for 15 mins.

  • Walk me through your resume
  • She asked me are you tired? always so no with a big smile on the face
  • Do you know, what DB does?
  • Where is the headquarter of the DB?
  • Do you know the current market scenario going around the world
  • In which tech you are interested to work in

Keep a smiling and bright face and have an engaging conversation. Most important be genuine! just stay calm throughout the process and try to communicate as best you can with the interviewer

Results got announced at 8 pm, and 3 students were selected for the internship I was one of them!
