On March end I got selected as Senior Analyst in Capgemini and after waiting for 2 months I received my offer letter. Soon after that, I got a mail regarding some 2 months of online training which they call ADAPT which consisted of courses on Java, OOPs, Cloud Computing, etc from Stratch. I was given my login credentials through which I got access to my profile. I can interact with many tutors and colleagues all over India through messaging and can participate in discussions. After every week we had regular goals to finish our course by a certain percentage and also had assessments regarding what we learned till now from the course. Assessment consisted of quizzes and coding questions which were mainly from the practice questions which were provided in the course. We had to score good marks to pass these assessments failing which we would not be able to gain a good final score. After this course ended we had a final assessment which was mandatory to be passed and then the final score was calculated based on marks obtained in weekly assessments and final assessment. The Final score should be above 40 out of 100 to pass this online training.

I luckily passed ADAPT training after which I got a mail regarding my final selection in Capgemini as a full-time employee. On August 2, 2022, I finally joined as a full time employee in Capgemini. After which for 3-4 days we had to attend various meetings online in Microsoft Outlook with employees of various departments to understand more about the workings of the company. It was Corona time so I was working from home. We were providing training on Java, OOPs, RDBMS, Angular, HTML, CSS, JS, Bootstrap, etc from Stratch and Professional English Speaking and Email Writing courses for one month to brush up our skills before working on Salesforce.

After that, we were provided training on Salesforce. We were given Salesforce Developer training for 1 month and then were handed projects based on the interviews and also had to pass some online certifications to pass this training. After that on December end, we were asked to join the office.

Pros of joining Capgemini :

1. Their training programs are the best. Your stream doesn’t matter. They teach everything from scratch.

2. The base pay is good.

3. For the Senior Analyst role you don’t have any bond of working in the company for a certain fixed period.

4. Work-Life balance is good.

5. Once you leave the company, after 2 months you can withdraw your PF too.

Cons of joining Capgemini :

1. Working Locations will be allotted by them randomly without our consent initially. Even after making a request, it takes time from their side to accept our request and it can also happen that our request may not get accepted.

2. The offer letter takes too much time to come after the final selection is made. This time may range from 2 to 3 months.

Overall from my experience, my suggestion is that if you are a fresher and don’t have any work location preference or any domain preference then Capgemini would be a good company to start your career with.
