For the batch of 2023, Capgemini started its hiring for the role of Analyst, Differential Analyst, and Senior Analyst through Superset. It was an off-campus opportunity open to all university candidates.

Flow Of Hiring Process

The hiring process consisted of the following stages :

  • Resume Shortlisting (Mainly students having an aggregate CGPA of 7 and above without any active backlogs were eligible to apply)
  • Online Assessments (The online assessment consisted of three parts. The first section was of MCQs based on IT Fundamentals, Pseudo Codes, General Reasoning & Aptitude, and English. The second section consisted of two coding questions that were of easy to moderate level. And the last section was a game-based assessment)
  • Interview (You would be shortlisted for the interview round based on your performance in the online assessment for either of the three roles)

Interview Round

After the assessment, I was shortlisted for the role of Senior analyst. My online interview was scheduled after two weeks post result announcement. It went on for about half an hour.

The flow of questions asked is as follows:

  • Introduce yourself. (At first, the interviewer will introduce herself and then she’ll ask you to do so)
  • Tech Stack Used In Your Project (The tech stack or SDK you’ve used in your projects that are mentioned in your resume. As most of my projects were based on Flutter, I explained to her about it)
  • What are the alternatives of that tech stack which can be used? (Other technologies that can be used to create the same project. I answered her by briefing them about Java, Kotlin, and React JS)
  • What is the advantage to use Flutter over the others? (I explained their limitations and how Flutter solves these issues)
  • Real-Life use case & Scalability of your project (Is it solving any problem in real life and if it so then Is your model scalable enough. It was totally a project-oriented question)
  • Do you have any questions for me? (Any questions for the interviewer)

It took around a month to declare the results and I was selected for the role of Senior Analyst.

Some Tips

Here are some tips from my side which might help you during interviews :

  • Prepare your resume accordingly because questions will be asked directly from whatever you had mentioned in your resume (Mainly projects, achievements, and the technologies you’ve used).
  • There are chances that technical questions can be asked by the interviewer. So, always be prepared with your core subjects (like DBMS, OOPS & Operating Systems).
  • You can practice with your friends by conducting mock interviews. I used to do that with my friends and it really helped me a lot.
  • Be confident. There is nothing to worry about. Just treat it like a conversation in a professional way.

UPDATE : I had recently completed my internship and now I’m serving as a full-time employee at Capgemini. Fortunate enough to get a job offer during the recession.
