Cactus Communications Interview Experience for SDE

CACTUS Communications founded in 2002 in Mumbai is a company that is involved in design, development, coding, customization, configuration, testing, and deployment in support of enterprise packaged solutions.

Online Exam: Primarily they conducted an online exam via hacker-rank in a fully proctored mode. Paper comprised of 19 questions that needed to be solved in 120 minutes where 1 coding question and 2 SQL database queries were asked and apart from that 16 MCQ questions were asked, MCQ questions were in mixed up form like some questions asked were of programming, numerical ability, logical reasoning, and some aptitude based questions.

ROUND 1 ( TECHNICAL PI): The shortlisted students were then called for a technical interview which was a very normal and easy interview. The recruiters were very humble and were talking very nicely. They generally focused on the projects you have made. They mainly asked questions from that only. Moreover, they asked some general questions about DSA and asked students to explain the logic on the paper and trust this round was much easy to crack. And yes last but not least they also asked questions about their company. So, recruiters, the main focus was on the projects you have made throughout your career and how much you know about the company.

ROUND 2 (HR PI): The students who cleared the technical interview that is round 1 were promoted up the level i.e. round 2 of HR. That was the easiest part of your placement journey. In this round general questions were asked like introduce yourself, why do you want to join us, why we hire you, rate yourself out of 10, rate your interviewer out of 10, and again the project was asked. Mainly HR round is for how you behave in a pressure situation and how efficiently you handle that, your posture your way of speaking, your way of behaving, and much more. So this round was easy going. 

The only last tip I want to give my fellow ones is that there is nothing you can’t achieve, there is your belief of yours in yourself that will surely make you successful and will place you in your dream company. So be happy and have confidence in yourself.
