I am a metaluurigcial engineer. I graduated from NIT Raipur on Jun’22 and joined the Adani group with the help of campus selection. I was offered 7 LPA at starting as I joined as a Graduate Engineer Trainee(GET). I working on Kutch Copper Limited which is a green field project of the Adani group located at Mundra, Gujarat. As it is in the project stage, I got to learn many things about both technical and non-technical things.

I joined here with 55 more GETs from different states and colleges. We first had an induction session for 1 month in which we were given a thorough understanding of the whole plant including the Engineering, procurement, and construction required to be done. We also saw what Adani groups other businesses located in Mundra. After 8 months when our probation period was over then we were promoted to the post of assistant manager and my salary is now 9 LPA.

My key responsibility was to study the Process Flow diagrams and PN ID’s all the parts and also mechanical drawings for the construction of all the plants. I was keeping track of all the drawings which has come for my allotted area and gave comments on the drawing if found something incorrect or in doubt. I had to do meetings with the vendors that are providing us the equipment for ou plant and ensure that they are delivered on time. Also to make sure that even the mechanical and civil work are completed before deadlines. I was also involved in budgeting and cash flow estimation and expense tracking for my package.

Pro’s

  • I got to learn about different verity of aspects of a plant which I might not have known if it was operational and not in the construction stage.
  • As I was involved in budgeting and cash flow-related activities, I got to learn about how the companies actually do their business.
  • The living cost, transportation, electricity, and laundry is provided by the company, so you can save a lot of money.

Con’s:

– The working schedule is very hectic which is around 10 working hrs, so it consumed all of the major part of the day.

– All the plants are always located in some remote location as it can’t be between a city so the quality of life is a bit compromised
