It was an Accenture On-Campus Drive for pass-out candidates.

They offered us 2 roles –

  • Associate Software Engineer (ASE)
  • Advanced Associate Software Engineer(AASE).

We had a pre-placement talk in the month of July. They conducted an offline Pre-placement talk on our campus and they also conducted an online Pre-placement talk after that.

Recruitment Process:

  1. Cognitive Assessment consisting of Logical Reasoning, Verbal Aptitude, and Technical MCQs
  2. Coding Assessment
  3. Communication Round
  4. Technical + HR Round

Cognitive Assessment:

This round is the initial round of their recruitment process. The time given for this round was 90 minutes. The difficulty of this round was easy-moderate. 90 questions were given consisting of Logical reasoning, Verbal aptitude, Critical reasoning, technical mcqs from C programming pseudo codes, Computer networking concepts, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. A moderate level of practice would be enough to clear this round.

After completing the assessment the results were given whether you proceed or not. The message would be given through WhatsApp and Mail.

Coding Assessment:

2 coding questions were given. 45 minutes were given to complete this round. The questions were –

  • Check whether a given number is an Armstrong number or not
  • Check whether a given number is Round number(Happy Number) or not

After completing the assessment the results were given whether you proceed or not. The message would be given through WhatsApp and Mail.

Note: Both Cognitive and coding assessments happened on the same day. For me, it was on 8th August 2023. Both the rounds were conducted online but we were instructed to take that from the College campus only. The instructions were given by Accenture officials. A PAN card is mandatory to sit for the Accenture campus drive.

Communication Assessment:

This segment evaluates communication proficiency utilizing specialized software, encompassing both listening and speaking. To ensure accuracy, please maintain a quiet environment and ensure a robust internet connection. Throughout this phase, your communication skills are assessed through various tasks:

  1. Reading aloud provided texts.
  2. Listening to a narrative and accurately repeating it within a specified timeframe.
  3. Responding to inquiries presented.

In my experience, while the communication tasks were manageable, the software’s sensitivity was remarkably high. Even minimal background noise, such as my breathing, was detected as external sound, creating some challenges in maintaining seamless communication.

After completing this round you would receive a message through WhatsApp and mail saying that you’ve completed this round.

Note: Hired headphones with good quality headphones are required to take this round. No Bluetooth headphones are allowed. I would suggest taking the test at midnight because external noises are captured and their software is very sensitive. If they sense minor sounds you would not be able to take the test.

Before the interviews, you would be getting mail regarding slot booking of your interview. You must select a preferable slot according to your needs and book the slot as soon as possible.

Technical + HR Interview:

Though it seems to be a Technical + HR round for me it was purely Technical round as most of the questions were from CS fundamentals, OOPs concept, Java and Python basic questions.

In the Interview round, questions were –

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. About projects-
  3. How did you manage your time while doing your projects?
  4. What motivates you to do that project?
  5. What is the future scope of your projects?
  6. What is the Preferred programming language?
  7. What is Multiple Inheritance? Give me an example
  8. Do you have any certifications?
  9. What is Tuple in Python?
  10. Difference between a list and a tuple?
  11. What is an exception?
  12. What is normalization?
  13. Why do we need normalization? Types of normalization
  14. Full form of BCNF
  15. Types of SQL commands
  16. Types of Polymorphism in Java
  17. Types of Inheritance in Java
  18. Difference between Java and Python

The interviewer was very satisfied with my answers. Further, he asked me if had any questions for him. I asked him a few questions related to the training period.

After waiting for nearly about 1 month I got selected for the ASE role and on the same day, I received a letter of intent.
