I had the privilege of participating in the Accenture Campus Drive held in August 2023, representing the final-year batch of 2024. The drive aimed to recruit both Associate Software Engineers (ASE) and Advanced ASE roles. All rounds of the interview process were conducted online, offering a seamless and accessible experience.

Round 1: Cognitive and Technical Assessment

This round presented us with 92 MCQ questions to be completed within 135 minutes. The sections covered in this test included:

  • English Ability
  • Critical Reasoning and Problem Solving
  • Abstract Reasoning
  • Common Application and MS Office
  • Pseudo Code
  • Fundamentals of Networking, Security, and Cloud

The questions ranged from easy to moderate in difficulty, and I managed to answer them comfortably. The result was promptly displayed, confirming my qualification for the next round.

Round 2: Coding Round

In this round, we were tasked with solving two coding questions, both pattern-based, within a 45-minute time frame. I successfully solved both questions due to their ease, securing my passage to the next round.

Round 3: Communication Round

The third round focused on assessing our reading, listening, speaking, and storytelling abilities. We were required to find a quiet environment for the test, with our voice and background checked before commencement. The round proceeded smoothly.

Round 4: Technical and HR Round

This combined round involved a comprehensive assessment of both technical and HR aspects. The interviewer posed general questions such as:

  • “Tell me about yourself.”
  • “Why do you believe you are suited for this role?”
  • “Why Accenture?”
  • “How do you handle failure?”
  • “How would you resolve a disagreement with a colleague?”

During the interview, the interviewer inquired about my project, specifically focusing on why I chose to work on the frontend part of it and how I sought guidance from my mentor.

Towards the end of the round, I had the opportunity to ask questions, which I utilized to inquire about my job role and how I could contribute effectively to the organization.

Tips for Interview:

. Confidence: Maintain a confident demeanor throughout.

. Company Research: Familiarize yourself with Accenture’s values and culture.

. Clarity: Be clear and audible in your responses.

. Transparency: Don’t hesitate to say “I don’t know” when appropriate.

. Behavioral Practice: Prepare for behavioral questions.

. Inquisitiveness: Ask thoughtful questions about your role and contributions to the organization.
