I applied to this role of ASE (Associate Software Engineer) at Accenture in May 2023 from their career site.

Eligibility criteria:

  1. All streams/branches of B.Tech/B.E/M.E/M.Tech, MCA, and M.Sc(CSE & IT only) with full-time education.
  2. The passing year should be 2022 or 2023.
  3. No active backlogs during the application or during onboarding.
  4. The degree must be completed within a stipulated duration of itself (No education gap).
  5. You should not appear in any part of the recruitment process in the last three months.
  6. Experience should be between 0-11 months.
  7. You should be permitted to work in India either by citizenship or have relevant documents.

Assessment process:

1. Cognitive and Technical (90 minutes)

Cognitive: This assessment includes 50 questions on the following:

  • English ability
  • Critical thinking and Problem-solving
  • Abstract Reasoning

Technical: This assessment includes 40 questions on the following:

  • Common Application and MS Office
  • Pseudocode
  • Fundamentals of Networking, Security, and Cloud

The result of the above assessment is commenced in the next 10 minutes and if we clear the section cut-off marks then we are redirected to coding assessment which is scheduled immediately after this assessment.

2. Coding Assessment: This assessment has 2 coding questions that need to be solved in 45 minutes. This programming language is allowed to use C, C++, Java, Python, and Dot Net. The coding question was of medium difficulty level based on stack and array fundamentals.

If you clear the coding round after 2-5 working days, you will get mail for the communication round.

3. Communication Round: This round was of approximately 30 minutes, and you are assessed on the following topics:

  • Sentence Mastery
  • Vocabulary
  • Fluency
  • Pronunciation

Tip: You need to sit in a completely vacant, completely lighted, and noise-free room to avoid any type of disturbance because Accenture has very strict proctoring system which is seen by someone and if you failed to follow rules, you can be banned from Accenture for a lifetime even after clearing every round of recruitment.

4. Interview Round

I got the mail of the interview after 3-4 working days of my communication round and also, they gave options to choose the favorable time slot.

The interview consisted of the following questions:

  • Introduction
  • A brief explanation of projects
  • Cross questions on my project
  • What was your major and Minor project and how many members you guys were?
  • What was your role in both projects and what issues you faced during the project?
  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  • Any Unsuccessful situation in life and how did you overcome it?
  • Role in Internship and what you learned from there?
  • Why you are a good fit for this role?

That’s all about my interview at Accenture and after 10-12 working days I got mail for getting selected for this role.

Tip: Be prepared for some managerial and behavioral questions along with the concepts of technical skills that you used in your projects.
