VIIT Pune Gandharva Fest Experience

Hello everyone, Vaibhav this side. I am a third-year undergraduate from VIIT Pune in Computer Engineering. So last few months back in February we had our college fest which is known as Gandharva. It is one of my lifetime memorable experiences for me. It started on the 20th of Feb and lasted up to 4 days. Every day was special and had a separate theme for it.

The first day was a black day. Everyone wore a black outfit and it was a sunny day, there was an arrangement of DJ’s , but, or a disappointment music was not played on that day as in 12th standard students were having their board examination on the day and the police also came and warned the college. It was really saddening moment for all of us there.

The second day was a traditional day, I wore traditional kurtas and the girls wore saree at the same time. We danced hard on that day, it was really tiring and fun too at the same time.

The third day was retro day, and many of us wore ’90s outfits, we also had dinner from our college side, and also one of us our alumni who is an actress in the Marathi industry visited as a guest member.

The fourth day was meme day and we had a great laugh at seeing characters from movies in real life. It was also the last day of our event and most of us were at a stage of very tiredness and dizzy. My very few friends also fell ill at this time.

Really college fest is a fun and onc time experience in a lifetime.

Talking about the technical event

TechnoWizard is a Technical Event of VIIT Pune: It has many programs in it such as Hackathons, Robot Competition and Quizes.

Many students across Pune and across various cities come here to take part in this event. They compete there for a long period of time, also the college give provides these students with certain facilities like juice for each and every member, some sort of certificate of participation.

Winners of this hackathon are provided with certain prizes-

• First winner gets a trophy, medals, and a cash prize of 15,000.
• Second winner gets a medal and a cash prize of 8,000.
• Third winner gets a medal and a cash prize of 5,000.
