Round 1:

Interviewer: Recruiter (HR): Duration: 25 mins.

  • What KPIs/OKRs you would consider to measure the success of a product?
  • What tools have you used to track KPIs?
  • How would you do reporting of metrics? What will you do if the reported metrics do not match with original metrics?
  • Have you written user stories? What is a user story?
  • Have you worked cross-functionally before?
  • Explain your recent experience in Project Management.
  • What is the biggest challenge you faced in project management? How do you overcome them?
  • Can you deliver strong recommendations/presentations to the board/senior executives?

Round 3: Duration: 30 mins.

Interviewer: 2 Senior Product Managers.

  • Introduce yourself.
  • What are you doing at Duke?
  • Explain your experience with the Product Management Club at Duke. How did you get into this club? What does the club do?
  • Do you have any product certifications?
  • Our team is shifting from a project-driven approach to a product-driven approach. What are your thoughts on this transition?
  • Why are you transitioning from Software development to product management?
  • How do you do market analysis? What is your experience with go-to-market strategies?
  • How do you do competitive analysis?
  • Do you have any questions for me?

Suggestion: Confidence and clear communication is the key. Ask good and relevant questions. Answers should be to the point and not too detail-oriented.
