TCS Interview Experience For System Engineer

My Interview experience with TCS for the role of SE was good. There were two rounds conducted in the hiring process. The first round was an online assessment and the second round was an interview round.

ONLINE ASSESSMENT:

In the online assessment, there were four sections.

In the first section there were questions based on Aptitude like questions based on permutations, speed, time and distance, train, boat and stream were asked and also some questions based on logical reasoning and puzzles, blood relations, syllogisms etc were asked to assess quantitative and analytical skills. In the second section, there were questions based on Verbal Ability to evaluate the candidate’s English language proficiency, including grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension.
In the third section, there were questions based on Programming to assess your knowledge of programming concepts and logic. In this section there were questions based on basic programming concepts like variables, data types, functions and oops concepts were asked.
And last section was a coding test to evaluate the candidate’s coding skills, algorithmic thinking, and problem-solving ability. This section consists of questions based on basic programming concepts, object-oriented programming, data structures and algorithms were asked.

INTERVIEW:

In the interview, there were TR and HR rounds. In the TR round technical questions were asked based on programming like Java, C, C++, Python, C# etc and questions based on databases, operating systems etc were asked. Some questions related to subjects that I studied in my college were also asked. And also questions based on Projects were asked. In the HR round, they asked some basic HR questions like Self-introduction, Skills, College/university, Strengths, weaknesses etc. Some scenario-based questions like giving a situation and asking to answer, How I would react or handle it if I were in that particular situation etc were asked.
