TATA Steel Interview Experience for FTE

I applied for off-campus TATA STEEL drive through Aspiring Engineer Program(AEP-2023) for CS/IT online with Talent Acquisition Group from Tata Steel Ltd. for the post of Engineer Trainee

Soon they provide you online test(1hr 35 min). After clearing, they provide an assessment(25 min) within a week.

As soon as you clear both rounds, within 15 days, you will be called for your interview session with their AEP reference no:  AEPxxxxxxxxxx.

Venue of Interview:  The Muse Sarovar Portico, A 1, Outer Ring Rd, Chirag Enclave, Nehru Place, New Delhi, Delhi 110048

I visited the venue on time with my admit card and my documents (provided in the mail). There firstly they review my original documents and photocopied documents that need to be signed by the candidates and were submitted. At the same place, a soft board justified different interview rooms on different floors. You will be provided one by the verifying team. After a wait of 30 min, i was called for my interview.

There were 3 interviewers: one HR, and the other two were professional interviewers. As soon as I get in with my resume, I acknowledged them and HR started describing the panel. They then asked me to introduce myself, I took around 5 min to compose myself and elaborate all my projects and internships accordingly. Then they started to ask me related to my resume, but not directly, as I mentioned my work experience in cloud computing, they asked me questions related to AI, they just wanna check whether you are able to deal with some explicit concepts. The technical interview soon shifted to the HR level with questions like

• Why do you want to join Tata Steel?
• What inspired you to give the AEP?
• Why do we choose you ahead of other candidates?

Again back to the technical coding level, my language and some basic coding-based question, and some other relevant questions related to that field, I didn’t remember much I guess. The process took around 35-40 min and then they peacefully told me that the interview is over, and I may leave now. Thank You!

Unfortunately, i was rejected after my result was declared the next month, but enjoyed every bit of this drive from registering to the last Thank You message:)
