Platform: Examly

Eligibility Criterion:

  • Should have scored above 75% (10th, 12th & UG)
  • No current arrears
  • No History of arrears

Total Rounds :

  1. Online Aptitude and physics
  2. Pen and Paper Aptitude
  3. Programming Round 1
  4. HR and Technical Interview
  5. Programming Round 2
  6. Design Round
  7. Essay Writing

Round 1: Online Test (1 Hour)

There were a total of 30 questions consisting of 3 sections,

  • Programming MCQs – 8 questions – 20 mins
  • Math and Logical – 12 questions – 20 mins
  • Technical Physics – 10 questions -20 mins

Programming questions were based on increment and decrement operators, loops and pointers. Physics questions were based on collisions, kinetic energy, and Conservation of momentum. For example,

  1. If a truck of 1000 kg at 10m/s speed collides with a stationary truck of 2000 kg what is the final velocity of the two?
  2. What is the maximum height reached by a football weighing 300 grams when kicked upward with an initial velocity of 15 m/s?

The same section had some questions based and the light bulb and its energy consumed over some time and calculate equal resistance of a complex circuit. The other section had some maths and area and volume-related aptitude. For example,

  1. {1 2 3 4},{3 4 5 6} Find the cardinality of the given 2 sets.
  2. Differentiate e^log(log x)

Round 2: Pen and Paper Test (1 Hour)

This round consisted of 10 questions

  1. There were 3 brothers. How can a cake weighing 500 grams be divided among them so that the eldest brother receives twice as much as the second brother and three times as much as the youngest brother?
  2. A large cube with a surface area of 500 square meters was melted to form smaller cubes with side lengths of 2 meters and 3 meters. How many cubes of each size can be formed so that there are at least 10 cubes of each size?
  3. Given three signals A, B, and C, each with their respective swings, what is the swing of signal D, which is the sum of signals A, B, and C?
  4. Find the Current through the given circuit diagram.
  5. Given a diagram depicting logic gates XOR, AND, and OR along with their respective propagation delays, determine which output takes the longest time to propagate.
  6. Given a quadratic equation for displacement and the provided acceleration, determine the kinetic energy.
  7. Two bodies of masses 0.1 kg and 0.4 kg move towards each other with velocities 1 m/s and 0.1 m/s respectively. Find the Coefficient of restitution.
  8. A flowchart of a c program was given and asked to find the value of B and C from it.
  9. String concatenation-based output guessing problem
  10. Pointer-based output guessing problem

Round 3: Programming Round 1 (1 Hour)

There were 3 questions each 20 mins. You cannot come back to the previous question once you submit it. These were based on Arrays and Strings and only C is allowed for programming. These were the questions asked,

  1. Maximum Sub-Array Sum | 4 Points
  2. Check Password Strength | 4 Points
  3. Binary to HexaDecimal | 2 Points

Round 4: General HR and Technical

General HR questions were like,

  • Why soliton?
  • What do you know about Soliton?

Technical depends on your department,

  • What is BJT?
  • What is voltage voltage-controlled device?

They ask more about your projects, block diagram and your area of interest.

If you successfully pass the fourth round, the remaining three rounds typically seem easier, and they usually only reject one or two candidates. I don’t have any information about the other three rounds because I wasn’t selected to proceed further in the selection process, but overall it was a good interview experience.
