Societe Generale Interview Experience For Software Engineer (On-Campus)

An interview is done on our campus. The journey started with an online assessment. Online assessment is done in online mode, which consists of aptitude, technical, and coding questions. Aptitude is based on numbers, speed distance, and blood relations. Technical questions are based on oops, C output, etc.

Coding questions are of easy to medium level, It is related to storing and retrieving, and we can solve them easily using maps.

Around 300 people participated, and 29 will be shortlisted for the next round.

ROUND 1 [Technical round] :

It is a face-to-face interview, all 2 technical and 1 HR round interviews are done quickly, but results are announced at last. In first technical started with introducing myself, They asked based on my resume. In my resume I mentioned web development, so they asked about JSON, cloud storage, retrieval of JSON, etc. I said, I didn’t know in-depth about JSON, I explained only formats and how it works.

They asked some questions listed below:

1. Difference between stack memory and heap memory.
2. OSI model layers and Transport layer, TCP, and UDP in-depth.
3. Pattern printing coding question, write code in sheet.
4. Project explains.
5. He asked what you done apart from his studies in college, did you participated in any competitions.

ROUND 2 [Technical round/managerial round]:

In this round there was no deep technical, they asked the following questions.

1. I mentioned machine learning in my resume, my project was also there about that, so he was asked how the training of the model happens.
2. Difference b/w java, python,c, cpp.
3. Why is Java popular?
4. GET and POST difference.
5. You are comfortable with both night and day shifts.
6. What do you expect from your job?
7. He explained about the company.

ROUND 3 [HR round]:

It is completely non-technical, They ask questions based on

• How you fit for this job.
• They ask about your family background.
• Do you know about society in general?
• She asked ” Are you okay with both Chennai and Banglore locations?

Finally, 6 are selected for this job. I am also one of those 6.
