Course Brief and Examinations

PES University RR(Ring Road) campus offers the 2-year post-graduation course of MCA. There are two ways to get into the course, they conduct the PESSAT examination which is the university’s entrance test, and Non-domicile students can apply for this examination. Karnataka domicle students can apply through 2 examinations which are PESSAT as well PGCET examinations which is the Common entrance test of Karnataka.

If you are coming through PGCET, you should get ranked in the top 200 to get easily into the course. overall it is not very difficult to get admission into the MCA course.

Things to take care of

One of the things non-domicile should take care of is the documents. Make sure you bring all the documents from your previous university during the admissions counselling. The list of documents you should carry is:

  • Degree certificate / Provisional degree certificate
  • Migration certificate
  • Transfer certificate
  • Mark card (sem 1 to 6 or 8)
  • HSC (high school) certificate
  • SSC certificate
  • Pan card of Parents

Conclusion

The tuition fee structure of both examinations is different. For PESSAT admissions the fees are a little higher than the PGCET students. To conclude it is not very difficult to get into PES University for an MCA course and the admissions procedure is also very smooth.
