VIT Bhopal Admission Experience

Application Process:

At VIT Bhopal University, there are two ways to secure admission. The first is through the VITEEE (Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination), and the second is through the STARS Scheme (Support and Advancement of Rural Students). I received an email from the VIT Bhopal admission office informing me that I was selected through the STARS Scheme, which grants free education and hostel facilities. To proceed, I visited the campus and submitted various documents, including my 12th-grade results, transfer certificate, migration certificate, and character certificate.

Counseling:

After submitting the necessary documents, the counseling process began. During the counseling session, there were multiple branches and specializations available. I expressed my preference for Computer Science Engineering with a specialization in Cloud Computing and Automation. Based on my choice and the availability of seats, I was allocated a seat in the desired program.

Criteria or Eligibility of the Course:

The eligibility criteria for the STARS Scheme at VIT Bhopal University require students to be district toppers in their 12th-grade examination. For those applying through the VITEEE, their rank in the entrance examination determines the branch and admission they will receive.

Reasons for Choosing this College:

I decided to pursue engineering because I have a keen interest in understanding how things work. When I discovered that I had been selected through the STARS Scheme, which offers free education, I made the decision to join VIT Bhopal University. The opportunity to study at a prestigious institution, coupled with the financial benefits, solidified my choice.

Admission Examination Experience:

While I did not personally take the VITEEE, my friends, who did inform me that it was relatively easier compared to the JEE (Joint Entrance Examination). The VITEEE covers physics, chemistry, and mathematics, with an equal weightage given to each subject. In mathematics, geometry questions are emphasized, while thermodynamics holds significance in physics. In chemistry, organic chemistry is considered important.

Admission Interview Experience :

During the counseling process, there was an interactive session with the faculty members of VIT Bhopal University. It was more like an informal conversation rather than a formal interview. The faculty members asked about my background, including my name, family, and hobbies, as well as my aspirations and goals.

Allocation and Result:

Since I obtained admission through the STARS Scheme, the process was relatively quick. I received the admission confirmation within approximately 10 days after receiving the email from the admission office.
