Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidates seeking admission in B.Tech at NIT must have passed their 10+2 from any recognized board of education in PCM.
  • A candidate must have scored at least 60% of marks in aggregate and must be eligible to give JEE Main exam.

Entrance Examination: Based on the marks scored in JEE Main.

B.E/B.Tech 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) with the qualifying marks from a recognized board. 
B.Tech M.Tech
B.S and M.S 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized board. 

Entrance Examination and Counseling: 

Once the application process is complete, candidates need to appear for the JEE MAIN examination. The exam assesses the candidate’s knowledge in subjects like Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Based on the CRL Rank & Cut-off, candidates are selected for counseling rounds.

Counseling and Seat Allotment: 

Selected candidates are invited for counseling sessions. During counseling, candidates can choose their preferred program and specialization based on their rank and availability of seats. Seat allotment is done based on the candidate’s rank which is obtained in JEE MAIN.

Document Verification: 

After the seat allotment, candidates are required to report to the university for document verification. They need to submit the necessary documents, such as JOSAA Admission Letter, JOSAA Fee Receipt, College Admission Letter, PRTC, OBC-NCL, Medical Certificate in JOSAA Format, etc.

Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation: 

Candidates who have successfully completed document verification within the specified time frame to confirm their seat. Once, the Verification is complete, the admission process is considered complete.
