Hello Everyone, hope you all are doing well!!

In the year 2022, due to covid L&T conducted their interview process Online.

  • Branch: Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering
  • Venue: Kolkata (Online)
  • Date: 16th May 2022

Zoom platform Login time was 02:30 pm.

First, we need to show our Govt. ID card (Aadhar Card or Pan Card). Basically, the document verification was very smooth in front of the camera.

The DET selection process consists of three rounds in L&T: Written Test, Technical Interview & HR Interview.

Online Written Test :

The online written test is the first round in the L&T screening process. Full of mixed and multiple topics as well and tries to access the candidates with some parameters. The topics were:

  • Quantitative Aptitude (10-15 MCQs)
  • English (15-20 MCQs)
  • Logical Reasoning (10-15 MCQs)
  • Core Technical Questions (20-25 MCQs)

The overall duration of this test was 90-120 minutes. The hiring manager noticed the basic problem-solving & technical abilities of each candidate.

After 7 days, L&T shortlisted 10 candidates out of 34 candidates for the Technical & HR Interview Process.

Technical Interview :

In this round basically, they checked the Technical ability of the candidate. Here I mention the questions which I faced :

  1. Introduce Yourself
  2. What is Instrumentation
  3. What is the difference between Instrumentation & Telecommunication with respect to Electronics?
  4. Tell me about your project briefly
  5. What is IOT (as I did an IOT-based project in the final year of my diploma)

HR Interview :

The next HR Interview was conducted by a Senior Manager of L&T . He asked me these questions :

  1. Tell me about your educational qualification
  2. Why L&T
  3. About Short term & Long term goal
  4. Relocate & Shift availability.

I hope this article has given you some useful information.

All the best!!
