Creating Jira Epic:

Step 1: Log in to your Jira account:

Step 2: Under the project, section Go to ‘Create New Project’:

Step 3: Select Scrum from the given options. [Note I have chosen Scrum as it is widely used in the Industry]:

Step 4: Click on use this template:

Step 5: From the below option choose ‘Team Manage Project’ as ‘Company Manage Project’ requires a Premium Account:

Step 6: Give a Suitable Project Name for our case we Gave “TechyGeek” and Click Next:

Step 7: The Project is Successfully created, and a new Page will open:

Step 8: Click on Create Button:

Step 9: Select Issue Type ‘Epic’ from the drop-down:

Step 10: For the Summary Section, You can give any overview you like. We have written ‘Making Application for Techies’:

Step 11: Give a Brief Description, for our article we gave ‘Develop and launch our new mobile app for iOS and Android platforms:

Step 12: Leave the rest of the Column As it is. and click on Create:

Step 13: Congratulations! Epic in Jira was created Successfully. You can have a tour by clicking on Quickstart:

Step 14: If all your work is done then click on Timeline:

Step 15: Click on the ‘+’ icon there:

Step 16: Change Stsus to ‘Done’:

Step 17: The epic is now closed:
