The entire drive process went like this,

Pre – Placement Talk -> Paper based Aptitude & Technical MCQ’s round -> Group Discussion -> Technical Round -> HR round -> CTO round

Round 1 (MCQ round) :

  • This round has two different parts. It is a paper-pen-based test only, you will not be given access to any gadgets while taking the test.
    • Aptitude & reasoning (Part 1)

  • Part 1 comprises Aptitude and logical reasoning.
    • Aptitude questions have problems ranging from medium to hard, especially the problems from permutations that are made to be difficult. No. of questions asked in this section is 15.
    • Solve the easy problems first, don’t waste your time on hard questions.
    • Logical reasoning like seating arrangements are asked in this section, and 3 questions are asked in this section, it’s difficulty ranging from easy to medium.

Round 2 (Group Discussion) :

  • After completing round 1, if you are selected for the further rounds, candidates will be grouped into batches for this Group Discussion round.
  • As for me, a group consisting of 10 members, we have given a general topic called “Impact of Social Media, merits and demerits of it”
  • I have stated 3 solid points about the topic and the judges were satisfied with my points, as everyone was just supporting Social Media and tried to portray themselves as a positive person. I have taken a different approach and stated, why social media is an evil toy for a teenager and how social media is not suitable for people from different cultures and beliefs.
  • Be yourself in this round and just speak the things your mind has at the moment, try to be precise and speak only when you are supposed to speak. Don’t try to dominate, don’t be deplorable.

Round 3 (Technical round) :

  • On completing your group discussion, you will be called for your technical interview.
  • The panel consists of 2 members, initially they introduced themselves and asked me to do the same.
  • In my resume, I have mentioned some achievements in competitive programming and also said it is a hobby for me.
  • They started from that, giving me this problem, I initially struggled and finally explained my approach.
  • Then, they switched to OS and asked about process synchronization and multithreading.
  • Coming to oops, what is oops? oops, concepts,
  • A real-time example of Method overloading and how will you implement one in your project, I explained something like the Chef class having a cooking method, based on the arguments received the food will be served.
  • After that, some queries with SQL were discussed.
    • List the top second highest salary of an employee record from an employee table.
  • Total time for this round: 20 – 30 mins.

Round 4 (HR round) :

  • In HR, the discussion started with a self-introduction.
  • Then the HR asked about my hobbies and passion for coding.
  • Why Hubstream ? for your career?
  • Any ideas about pursuing higher studies?
  • The HR was so sweet and the interview went very well.
  • Tip: Be cool and answer the questions lively without blabbering any memorized points.
  • Total time for this round: 15 mins.

Round 5 (CTO round) :

  • This is the final round, in this round, you will be facing the CTO of the branch that you are applying for.
  • In this, you will be asked questions from both technical and behavioral testing.
  • I have mentioned full stack and DBMS in my area of expertise. He then asked me to explain those topics.
  • What are the conditions to be satisfied by a database to be an RDBMS? (CODD’S rule for RDBMS)
