Hello, I recent graduate from the National Institute of Technology Patna

As a Computer Science Engineering student at NIT Patna, I had always dreamt of working for a top tech company like Microsoft. When I found out that Microsoft was coming to our campus for placements, I was thrilled and nervous at the same time. I had to go through several rounds of interviews, including a coding challenge and an on-campus interview, before I finally received an offer for the Software Development Engineer (SDE) role.

Online Assessment (OA):

The first step in the interview process was an online assessment that tested my problem-solving skills, coding abilities, and technical knowledge. The questions were challenging but manageable, and I was able to complete the assessment within the given time frame. I received a positive response from Microsoft within a week of completing the OA Technology and was invited to appear for the on-campus interview.

On-Campus Interview:

The on-campus interview was divided into three rounds, each of which was designed to assess my technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and cultural fit within Microsoft.

Round 1: Technical Interview:

The first round was a technical interview with a Microsoft engineer. The interviewer asked me a few coding questions and tested my understanding of fundamental computer science concepts like algorithms and data structures. The interview was challenging but the interviewer was very helpful and gave me some valuable feedback.

Round 2: Behavioral Interview:

The second round was a behavioral interview with a senior Microsoft employee. The interviewer asked me questions about my previous work experience, my approach to problem-solving, and my ability to work in a team. The interview was relatively relaxed, and I felt that the interviewer was genuinely interested in getting to know me better.

Round 3: Managerial Interview:

The third and final round was a managerial interview with a Microsoft manager. The interviewer asked me questions about my long-term career goals, my leadership skills, and my ability to manage competing priorities. The interview was challenging, but the interviewer was very encouraging and helped me to feel confident about my abilities.

Hiring Decision:

After the on-campus interviews were over, I had to wait for a few days before hearing back from Microsoft. Finally, I received an email from the company offering me the SDE role! I was ecstatic and felt proud to have been selected for such a prestigious position.

Overall, my experience interviewing with Microsoft was challenging, but also extremely rewarding. The interviewers were all very friendly and professional, and they clearly cared about finding the best candidates for the company. I’m excited to be joining Microsoft and working with some of the most talented and passionate individuals in the industry.
