I am currently a graduate student and I would like to share my personal experience of the interview process with Hexaware Technologies, which took place on our campus on the 5th of August 2022.

Eligibility Criteria:

The eligibility criteria for the recruitment process were as follows:

  • The eligible streams were B. Tech (CSE/IT/ECE), M.Tech (CSE).
  • A minimum CGPA of 6.5 in the current degree was required.

Recruitment Process:

The recruitment process consisted of several rounds, each with its own unique aspects. Here is a breakdown of each round:

Round 1: Aptitude Test

The first round was an aptitude test comprising approximately 30 multiple-choice questions that covered various topics such as quantitative aptitude, logical reasoning, and verbal ability.

Round 2: Domain Test

This round had two sections: Pseudocode and Computer Fundamentals. It consisted of 30 questions and aimed to assess the candidates’ knowledge and understanding of these subjects.

Round 3: Conversational Round

In this round, candidates were given a set of sentences to read aloud and record their voices. Some grammar-based questions and fill-in-the-blanks were also included to test the candidates’ language proficiency. This round served as an elimination round.

Round 4: Technical Interview

The technical interview lasted for about 15 minutes. The interviewer began by introducing themselves and then asked me to provide an introduction. The interview primarily focused on the following areas:

  • Object-oriented programming concepts (OOPs)
  • Real-life examples of inheritance and polymorphism
  • Projects

I was advised to thoroughly revise OOPs concepts and projects done during my academics and be prepared to explain each concept in detail.

Round 5: HR Round

The HR round was scheduled for the following day. During this round, I had a discussion with the HR representative, who asked me various questions, including:

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • What are your strengths and weaknesses?
  • Have you ever faced a failure or setback? How did you handle it?
  • How do you handle pressure and tight deadlines?
  • How do you handle conflicts or disagreements with colleagues?
  • How do you manage your time and prioritize tasks?
  • Are you aware of the bond period?
  • Why do you want to work for our company?
  • Do you have any questions for me?

In this round, it was crucial to have knowledge about the company and effectively highlight the positive aspects of Hexaware Technologies while responding to unexpected questions.

I was not fortunate to be selected for the Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) profile at Hexaware Technologies because my conversation skills were not good.

To all future candidates, I wish you the best of luck in your endeavors!
