Hexaware Technologies Interview Experience for Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET)

I participated in the Hexaware on-campus placement, which commenced on August 3, 2022. The procedure included several rounds:

Round-1: Online Assessment

1. Aptitude Test(English, Analytical Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude): Duration – 45 minutes, 45 questions, and No negative marking.
2. Domain Test (Pseudocode and IT fundamentals): Duration – 30 minutes, 30 questions, and No negative marking.

Round-2: Communication Test

The communication round was an elimination round. This has been conducted mainly to test one’s reading, writing, grammar, and listening skills.  After this round, I was invited to the technical round.

The results were announced on the same day, followed by the communication test. The next day, the shortlisted students were notified on the superset platform for the next round, which was the technical interview. Each round served as an elimination round.

Round-3: Technical Interview

• I was given a specific time slot for the interview (10 am – 11:30 am) and had to wait for the interview call on Superset.
• Within the given time frame, I received a call from the interviewer on superset.
• The interview lasted around 15-20 minutes.
• The interviewer began by asking me to “Tell me about yourself.”
• They inquired about the skills mentioned in my resume.
• I explained my project and discussed the programming language I was comfortable with.
• During the interview, I explained that I chose Python for DSA and my projects due to its simplicity, readability, extensive library support, and versatility.
• I also shared my coding and academic achievements.

The following day, the shortlisted students received notifications on the superset platform, informing them about the next round, which involved the HR interview.

Round-4: HR Interview

• Instead of introducing myself, the HR interviewer directly delved into discussing my most recent project.
• They questioned my reasons for choosing Hexaware and inquired about my familiarity with bond (service agreement) and package.
• The HR asked about my willingness to relocate and how I would handle situations where other companies offered me higher packages.

The next day my TPO informed me that I was selected.

Suggestions:

• It is important to note that each round served as an elimination round, and many students were eliminated during the first round assessment test and the communication test. Thus, thorough preparation is essential.
• Honesty is crucial when discussing the information presented in your resume, as interviewers refer to it during the interview.
• The interview questions primarily focused on the skills mentioned in the resume, with an emphasis on OOPs concepts and DBMS. Additionally, basic coding questions such as reversing a string, finding the second largest element in an array, checking for Armstrong numbers, and palindrome numbers were commonly asked.
