HCL GET Interview Experience (Off-Campus) 2023

I applied to HCL through their Discover HCL portal for the position of Graduate Engineer Trainee in December 2022.

After that, I received an email to fill out a formal acceptance/acknowledgement form to indicate my interest, so that they could proceed further with my candidature.

Round 1 – Online Assessment:

• English
• Quantitative aptitude
• Logical ability
• IT fundamentals

Round 2 – Coding Assessment:

The coding assessment consisted of easy to medium-level questions. The questions were based on simple mathematical operations, arrays, and strings.

Both Round 1 and Round 2 assessments were to be completed in 95 minutes.

Round 3 – Networking Assessment:

In this assessment, there were around 30 questions that were entirely related to networking and consisted of a few numerical questions as well. The questions were a little difficult and were of medium to hard level.

Round 4 – HR Interview:

My HR interview was conducted 5 days after I completed the online assessment. I was formally greeted by the HR and was asked these questions:

• My introduction
• The language that I would prefer and two questions related to that.
• What are the types of constructors in Java?
• What is the Fibonacci sequence?
• Do I have any offers in hand?
• Any achievements during my college life?
• Internship experience
• Whether I had any questions for him
