Gainsight Interview Experience for SDET

I applied at Gainsight for the SDET role which is a product-based company through a referral. So, I will tell my experience in phrases. It consists of a total of 5 levels.

Level 1:– Resume selection. My resume got selected and I got called in for an interview.

Level 2:– Coding round. It consisted of 3 medium-level questions and 2 good SQL queries and 10 basic quality assurance questions. I completed 3 coding questions and all the SQL queries along with 10 MCQs.
verdict: cleared and got called in for an interview after a week.

Level 3:- Technical interview 1. The interviewer asked me to tell them about myself and then we dived into questions. It consisted of 3 lower bound medium questions. All were based on. array basics. Afterward, the interviewer started asking me about core testing concepts, like functional testing, non-functional testing, methodologies, and some CS fundamentals.

verdict: Cleared, got called in for round two in 2 days.

Level 4:- Technical interview 2. This was taken by SDET Team lead. It was completely based on DSA and Selenium. They asked me to write code for login/sign-up automation. Apart from that, there were 2 DSA medium-level questions based on arrays and strings. Lastly, she asked me about SQL as well as my previous projects in my last company and some projects mentioned in my resume.

verdict: cleared this round and got called in for the next round.

Level 5:– TechnoManegerial interview. It consisted of 70% technical and 30% management and HR questions. The interviewer asked me in-depth concepts of OOPS, C++, and SQL. Apart from that he asked me testing questions as well. Situation-based questions were also asked in the end.

verdict: Got Rejected in this round, feedback, prepare core concepts more deeply, and have an in-depth understanding of concepts that you already know of.

Tip:- Always brush up your skills first which you have used most.
