FIS Global Interview Experience for IT Trainee (On-Campus)

I applied for the IT Trainee position at FIS Global through an on-campus recruitment drive. After completing an online assessment, I was selected for the technical round.

The proctored online assessment lasted for 1 hour, consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and two coding questions.

Technical Interview:

However, there was an extended delay of roughly three months between the interview schedule and shortlisting. I prepared thoroughly for the interview. The interview includes questions on DBMS, DSA, and SQL, as well as network and fundamental programming skills.

• What is programming in Python? Does Python Have Potential in Technology? Why Python? What’s next for the future of Python?
• What is object-oriented programming? What is its type?
• Write a function to reverse a string without using any temporary variable.
• What is normalization and its types of normalization?
• Write the SQL query to find the 3rd and 4th highest salary.

The interview went really well and smoothly and lasted for 30 minutes as per the scheduled time

HR Communication:

Around two months after the technical interview, I received a call from the HR team. Unfortunately, They informed me that the position I had interviewed for was either filled or closed. With a sense of disappointment, I was informed that they wouldn’t be proceeding with my candidacy.
