Company: Digit Insurance (GoDigit)

Background: B.Tech. in CSE from NIT

Internship Experience: Summer Internship at a start-up.

Application Process:

It was an on-campus drive for the role of Trainee Developer => Software Engineer (after 1 year).

First Round:

Online Assessment consists of 20-25 Aptitude MCQs and 2 easy Coding Questions.
Solved all questions and shortlisted for Technical Interview Round scheduled on next day for Technology Team.

Second Round:

Technical Interview for 30-35 min duration.
The interview started with greetings, and then the interviewer asked me to give a brief introduction.
Then asked me questions related to

  • MongoDB (as I have mentioned in my resume)
  • The Difference between SQL and NoSQL databases,
  • How do perform CRUD operations in MongoDB?
  • Tell me about the syntax for all the operations
  • What are Collections?
  • What is JSON?
  • Why JSON is used?
  • Then some more questions about NoSQL databases.

Then after that, OOP asked me in which language I am proficient I said C++ and familiar with Java and JavaScript.

Now she asked me questions related to OOPs concepts of both C++ and JAVA :

  • Pillar of OOPs
  • Virtual Function
  • Friend Function
  • Friend Class
  • Why multiple inheritance is not supported in JAVA, Interfaces.

Now after that asked me about Pointers and Inline functions in C++.
Then 1-2 basic questions from DSA, at the end interviewer asked me to rate myself on a scale of 10 in programming languages and tech stack which I have mentioned in the resume.
At last, I asked some questions from the interviewer and the interview ended.
Overall it was a great experience as the interviewer was very friendly and I literally answered each and every question confidently.

Verdict: Selected

Suggestion / Tips: The interview will be easy, be prepared with all things that you mentioned in the resume, and you are good to go. All the best !
