FAI-First American India Interview Experience for Technical Trainee (On-Campus) 2023-24

FAI (First American (India)) visited our campus for the placement of B.Tech students for the role of Technical Trainee in Banglore.

The salary package it was offering with additional benefits. It is an insurance-based company so it also offers different types of insurance for the selected candidates.

There were total 5 rounds -:

Aptitude and Technical

This was an online written round on the SHL platform (that is the amcat platform) in which there were basic Aptitude, Logical, Pseudocode, and technical MCQs. It can be easily cleared with basic technical and Aptitude knowledge.

Out of approx 750 students, 200 cleared this round.

After this, every round was conducted at our college premises.

Group discussion

That was a very rigorous round and a group of 8-10 members was formed. We were given 10 minutes to have a discussion over the given topic and also there was 2 minutes of thinking time. For clearing this round we must have confidence and points ready to display them before the panel.

So out of 200 students, 30 cleared this round.

Technical Interview -1

This was the first technical round that lasted for approx 25-30 minutes. Questions that were asked in this round were–

• Introduce yourself
• Questions related to the internship Ar-Vr and Web Development
• coding questions such as palindrome, basic string problems
• Any real-life oops example.
• Questions on my project are mentioned in the resume.
• Sql Querry to find 2nd highest salary in the database.
• explain all oops concepts.

After a few minutes, I got the news that I was selected for the 2nd Technical round. Although the first round was very small just 15 minutes.

15 students were selected for the 2nd technical round.

Technical Round -2

This round was too short and just lasted about 11-12 minutes.

It comprised of questions related to –

• cloud concepts
• SQL 2-3 basic questions
• Related to basic HTML, CSS, js
• Write a particular component from your project.
• oops concepts
• oops, question.

Questions related to URL and path as I have projects related to Django and nodejs.

10 students were selected for the final HR round.

HR Round

This was a general talk round. comprised of questions such as -:

• Introduce yourself.
• Are you comfortable relocating to Banglore as you will get a good amount of opportunities here as well?
• What are your life aspirations?

So after all this out of 10 total 4 students were selected from our college and I was not one of them.
