DTU Campus Experience

My first year at DTU was an incredible experience filled with unforgettable memories. The teachers were not only knowledgeable but also super friendly and chill, making the learning environment enjoyable. I distinctly remember my Electrical 101 course teacher sharing amusing stories from his college days, like getting ragged by seniors at IIT Bombay to go buy cigarettes. On the first day, the teachers took a keen interest in knowing about our hobbies and interests.

The college life kicked off with an inter-branch sports fest, and I had the opportunity to play in the basketball team. Soon after, the much-awaited freshers’ event called AARAMBH took place, featuring performances by multiple artists like the singer Raghav and comedian Vijay Yadav at the OAT (Open Air Theatre).

The excitement continued with the annual cultural fest week, commencing with a technical fest featuring various events, including hackathons and coding competitions. Next came YUVAAN, organized by the literature society at DTU, where mesmerizing dance performances captivated the audience. The pinnacle of all events was the grand ENGIFEST, the biggest college fest in North India, featuring prominent artists like Sunidhi Chauhan, Amit Trivedi, and Nucleya, leaving us dancing and singing for the whole week.

Apart from the plethora of fests, DTU offered numerous societies catering to various interests. Students had the opportunity to join societies like IEEE, Roundtable, MACS (technical), Nrityangana, Madhurima (dance and music), and Assets, 180 Degree Consulting (finance) ,Panache(fashion), pratibimb(drama) . There were also cultural and sports councils, contributing to the vibrant and diverse atmosphere of the college.

The coding culture here at dtu is amazing and the seniors are all frank and supportive with anyone who needs any guidance .

There is a website called Fresources which is made by the students itself which has all the resources used by students a week before their semester exams .

Overall, my first year at DTU was a culturally enriching and exhilarating journey. The college provided an excellent platform for academic and personal growth, allowing us to explore our passions and create lasting friendships along the way.
