  •  Role- Technical Analyst

Hi Everyone, I am excited to share my first internship experience of my college career and Deutsch Bank was the first company that came to our college to provide internships to the 3rd year students. I applied for this opportunity along with 220 other students, and we all participated in the first online round.

Round 1 (Online Aptitude Round) – 90 mins:

In this round all the students are eligible. The test platform was HackerEarth and the test is scheduled on 7th October from 2 PM onwards. There are a total of 12 questions which consist of 2 Coding questions of medium level and 10 MCQ questions based on DSA, Database Management Systems, Computer Networks, and Operating Systems. After this round, 17 students were selected from 220 on the basis of this round and may be SGPA also.

On the next day, there is a pre-placement talk of 1 hour from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM on Skype. In this, they explained what a bank do, type of banking they do, salary division, and further round instruction.

Round 2 (Technical Interview) – 45 mins:

My interview was scheduled at 11:15 AM and I was quite nervous about it. It was the round which I loved the most throughout the process. They asked me the following questions:

  • 1. Tell me briefly about yourself.
  • 2. What you had done in Innerve. PS: I was the joint secretary of the OSS club.
  • 3. Discussion about the project.
  • 4. Create a class and implement the getter and setter functions.
  • 5. Implement the concept of inheritance and explain the difference between data abstraction and data encapsulation.
  • 6. A question on DBMS that uses the concept of group by clause.
  • 7. How will you handle the null values in the front end coming from the database?
  • 8. Name a protocol that is being used at the Transport layer.
  • 9. Implement function overriding with the concept of late binding.
  • 10. Any questions you would like to ask?

The questions in this round mainly revolve around the OOPs concept and my projects. Don’t forget to revise the concept which you had implemented in your projects. After this round, 7 students were selected for the next round.

Round 3 (Pro-Fit round) – 30 mins

This round is a mixture of technical and HR rounds, for me, it goes fine, and they ask me the following questions:

  • ·Basic Intro
  • ·How do banks make money? I got stuck on this as I only have a single point for this.
  • ·Tell me more about Innerve.
  • ·Any hackathon experience.

If you were selected and it’s your first day on the job. Your project partner is on leave and you have to complete the project by tomorrow. What will you do?

·More questions on situation handling.

For this round of Interviews, I will suggest reading about Deutsche Bank. Never take the pre-placement talks lightly. In this round, 6 students were shortlisted for the final round of this process.

Round 4 (HR Round) – 15 mins:

My HR round was scheduled at 4:15 PM and it’s got postponed to 4:30 PM.

  • Tell me about yourself.
  • Have you ever worked in a team?
  • Problems faced by me during any event.
  • One situation-based question.
  • Two strengths and weaknesses about me.
  • Some questions about my family too.
  • Any questions you would like to ask?

Overall, this round was easy.

Few tips for the interview process which you have to keep in mind:

  • Always remember to smile in front of the camera.
  • Please listen carefully to your pre-placement talks.
  • Revise the basic of computer fundamentals and your projects.
  • Be confident and focus on your strength. Prepare a basic intro about yourself.
