At this point, the interviewer inquired about my coding skills in JAVA, which led to a discussion about my preference for C++. Subsequently, the interviewer posed theoretical questions regarding C++, including storage classes and the ‘auto’ keyword.

I was also asked to solve a few mathematical questions and code them on Notepad. The final portion of this interview segment focused on Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA):

  • What is DSA?
  • Can you explain the different types of data structures and their use cases?
  • Why do we use linked lists?
  • Describe the various types of maps.

The interview concluded with a discussion of my projects. The interviewer asked me to explain each project, its real-world significance, whether it was a group project, and my individual contributions to all three projects. The interview wrapped up with an opportunity for me to ask questions about the company’s working culture and work-life balance.

4 students were shortlisted in this round.

Professional Fitment Round (20-30 minutes):

This round revolved around personal and professional fitment:

  • Please introduce yourself.
  • Can you share your thoughts on your college experience and how you handled being away from home?
  • What are your future career plans, and why do you wish to join our company?
  • How do you manage pressure, and what is your approach to problem-solving in high-pressure situations?
  • Can you describe how you would handle a scenario involving a team member who is not contributing?

This round aimed to assess my compatibility with the company culture and work environment, focusing on soft skills and adaptability.

No one was eliminated in this round.

HR Round (20-30 minutes):

The HR interview was more relaxed and aimed at understanding my personality and values:

  • Please provide an introduction.
  • Tell me about your educational background and your family.
  • Share your passions and interests.
  • Do you prefer working on group projects or individual ones?
  • How well do you align with our company’s values?
  • Could you elaborate on your projects and their significance?

Following my responses, the interviewer engaged in a conversation based on my answers, making the round more conversational. The interview concluded by selecting two out of the four candidates, including myself, for the next round.

Final Verdict: Selected

Tips for Future Candidates:

Maintain composure and a positive attitude throughout the interview. Focus more on discussions and interactions rather than just answering their question.

Ensure thorough knowledge of the topics you include on your resume, as questions may delve into depth.
