Deutsche Bank Interview Experience for Graduate Analyst 2023

Deutsche Bank recently visited our campus to hire graduate analysts on 22nd July 2023.

Online Round(90 min): It happened on 22nd July 2023. It consisted of three coding questions conducted on the HackerEarth platform. The students who cleared the online round were invited to attend the PPT virtually. A total of 44 students were selected for the next round.

Round 1:Technical Interview 1:It lasted for 30-40min. He asked me the following question:

  • Introduce yourself
  • As I was from the electronics and communication branch, I was asked about the type of microprocessors, microcontrollers that we studied in our course.
  • Overview of my project
  • OOPS and its pillars
  • Basic SQL queries like fetching all data from the employee table and finding details regarding employees having the highest salary
  • Explain any program with your familiar programming language.I explained the program to reverse an array.
  • Difference between C, C++, Java
  • Two puzzles:

  • 2 buckets with 4 and 5-liter capacity and you had to fill 7 liters in 3 buckets which have infinite capacity and water supply is also continuous.
  • Any questions for him

Round 2:Technical Interview 2:It lasted for 30-40min. He asked me the following question:

  • Introduce yourself
  • Give an overview of your project
  • Why I used NodeJS in it
  • What is asynchronous javascript
  • ER diagram based on the project database part and some follow-up questions on the project
  • Difference between SQL and MongoDB
  • Why do we use indexing in the database
  • A DSA question was there to make a binary search tree from the given array
  • Which architecture you had used in your project

  • A question based on Computer Networks in which I had to find a routing protocol for the given situation
  • Any questions for him

Round 3:Professional Fitness Round: It lasted for 30-40min. He asked me the following question:

  • Introduce yourself
  • How was your day
  • My 12th mark in Maths and then a follow-up question to find no of apples using three given situations.
  • You live mostly in Indore (college location) or your hometown
  • Some questions from electronics(as I had this branch) like what is attenuation, the difference between CDMA and GSM, what is multiplexing, what is an op-amp
  • Any questions for him

Round 4:HR Round(5-10mins):

  • How was your day
  • Tell me about yourself in a way that is not mentioned in your resume
  • Then a follow-up question how your people skills are good
  • Why you choose to engineer
  • Tell me about the stressful situation you faced in your life
  • As I had 3 semesters online,I was asked did I face difficulty in shifting from online to offline mode and out of them which is better
  • Any questions for her

18 students get selected

Verdict: SELECTED

Tips:

  • STAY CALM, CONFIDENT AND DON’T BE NERVOUS
  • KEEP YOUR ENERGY UP FOR ALL ROUNDS SINCE ALL ROUNDS WILL BE ON THE SAME DAY
  • TRY TO ASK QUESTIONS AT THE END OF EACH ROUND
