TNEA-Engineering Counselling Experience

Hello! I am an Student from R.M.D. Engineering College and I am going to tell about How I entered into this College Through Counselling . Firstly Engineering admission Can be done through 2 process in TamilNadu . First One is “Management Quota”. When you join by this way you should Pay More Fees than Counselling student . This way is useful when you are academically weak but Economically Strong. The Second one is Counselling ,and this the way I entered the college.

Eligibilty Criteria

Qualification Eligibility	Applicants must have completed class 12/HSC from any recognized board.The subjects for TNEA are Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry.The candidates at least have scored 45 % (General), 40% (Backward class including backward class Muslims, MBC & DNC, and SC/SCA/ST).Marine engineering applicants must have cleared class 12 with at least 60% marks in PCM and 50% in English.
General Eligibility	Candidates who have completed classes 8, 9, 10 11, and 12 from Tamil Nadu need not to submit any nativity proof. Candidates who have completed classes 8, 9, 10 11, and 12 from states other than Tamil Nadu need to submit a nativity certificate. Children or wards of Central Government Employees serving continually in Tamil Nadu for the last 5 years are required to submit parents’ certificates of employment. Proof of parents’ employment must be submitted by candidates if their parents are employed under All India Service Tamil Nadu cadre officers. Identification certificate from headquarters must be submitted by any Srilankan Tamil Refugee applicant.
Age Limit	There is no age limit. However, marine engineering applicants must not be older than 25 years.

Application Process

This TNEA is to Join Colleges that are affiliated to Anna University. Some of the Most Popular College like SSN College of Engineering,PSG College Of Technology,Etc.

Step-1:

Go to TNEA Website. The Link is Tnea Website. This Link is Provided Here is For the Reference to Tnea website Which is Required For the Application Process

Then Register using Email Id and Password. Make sure You Remeber the PassWord Well Because It would be Required for Further process as well.

Step-2:

Go to Application Page and Start Applying By Giving Neccesary Details Given. Give Proper E-mail Id and Mobile Number Because You would Recceive More Information with That Email-Id. After Filling all necessary Informations You Need to Check it Once Again

Step-3:

There is Fee For This Application Process.The application fee for TNEA is INR 500 for the general candidates and INR 250 for SC /SCA /ST category belonging to Tamil Nadu. The application fee can be paid using payment modes like Credit card/ Debit card/ Net banking/ Demand Draft.

Seat Allotment

The seat allotment is based upon how much marks you take from 10+2 public exam. The Main Criteria is to select a Physics/Maths/Bio stream. We would have a cutoff mark by that the RankList would be released.

Cutoff Calculation : (Physics mark/2)+(Chemistry mark/2)+ Maths Mark
Total marks: 200

From this we can see that The High Priority is Maths , Then Physics and Chemistry. If More student got same cutoff i.e, 100 student got 179.5 ,They are Arranged in RankList based on Highest mark in maths, then physics and then chemistry . If all the marks are same they would be segregated based on Birthday(Seniority). If Birthday is same They would be segregated based on Random Number that would be Provided.

Community based RankList Will also be provided.Then The students were Segregated in 3 to 4 rounds of Counselling . Each College would ha ve 40 to 50 % of counselling seats. This seats will be filled based upon Choice filling.

Choice Filling

The Choice filling process help us to select the College which we want to be based on Seat availability. Mostly all First Round Students have all the colleges while Other round would have lesser colleges.It is recommended to fill atleast 100+ Choices because We cant predict what would Happen. I got my Ninth Choice mean while my friend got 38 th choice so it is uncertain. Once You receive Your College You should Pay fees within 7-14 days or intimate the college or else the seat maybe moved to next round .

Document Verification:

After the seat allotment, candidates are required to report to the university for document verification. They need to submit the necessary documents, such as Community Certificate , 10th ,12th Marksheets and any other Medical Certificates etc.

Fee Payment and Admission Confirmation:

Candidates who have successfully completed document verification within the specified time frame to confirm their seat. Once, the Verification is complete, the admission process is considered complete.
