My Personal Journey:

Stepping into Chitkara was like entering a whole new realm. The diverse student population, lively hallways, and abundant engagement opportunities were invigorating. The initial year was a whirlwind of orientation, forging friendships, navigating academics, and uncovering my passions. Joining clubs and participating in workshops allowed me to step out of my comfort zone, and acquire new skills. Approachable and enthusiastic professors were always there to offer guidance and mentorship.

As I advanced through my academic years, the curriculum became more demanding but also more fulfilling. Internships and collaborations with industries provided hands-on experience, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world applications. The campus buzzed with events like tech fests, cultural shows, and hackathons, offering platforms to showcase creativity, teamwork, and leadership.

College Festivals:

Chitkara is not just about academics; it’s about creating memories that last a lifetime. Events like the “Chitkara Lit Fest” and “Chandigarh Design Festival 2023” were extraordinary. From robotics competitions and coding boot camps to musical performances and art exhibitions, there was something for everyone. The energy during these festivals was electric, uniting students, faculty, and industry professionals in a celebration of innovation and cultural diversity.

Placements:

Chitkara’s robust industry connections translate into excellent placement opportunities. The career guidance cell organizes workshops, resume-building sessions, and mock interviews to prepare students for success. With over 500 recruiters visiting the campus annually, landing a dream job felt more like a tangible reality than a distant dream. Many of my peers secured positions in esteemed companies like Adobe and Goldman Sachs, while others pursued higher education or embarked on entrepreneurial ventures.

Chitkara challenged me academically, nurtured my interests, and instilled in me the importance of resilience and adaptability. I learned effective collaboration, critical thinking, and confident communication. However, I also recognized the need to further refine my skills in time management and task prioritization. In hindsight, I wish I had explored more entrepreneurial opportunities and ventured beyond my comfort zone through exchange programs abroad.
