About Company:

Atlassian Corporation is an Australian software company that develops products for software developers, project managers, and other software development teams. Over 15 years, Atlassian has grown to over 3,000 members worldwide with offices around the globe. In 2019, Atlassian made it to the “Fortune 100 Best Companies To Work For” list.

Recruitment Process:

Atlassian conducts 4 rounds to select freshers as Software Engineers in their organization.

  • Online Round
  • Technical Round-1
  • Technical Round-2
  • HR Round/ Interview

Online Round:

The online test was conducted on Hackerrank. The time duration was 90 mins and there were 3 problems(50, 75, and 10 marks respectively). The questions were from topics like arrays, trees, DP, etc.

Technical Round-1:

Technical Interview is the next round in their recruitment. There are generally, 2 panelists. The earlier questions consisted of information about projects and follow-up questions related to them. Apart from that, some coding questions had to be coded while sharing the screen. The questions also revolved around OS and DBMS including topics like processes, threads, deadlocks, normalization, relational models, etc.

Technical Round-2:

There is a technical round again. This round consists of a single interviewer and is conducted on Zoom. The pattern is more or less the same as the first round. If any topic mentioned above is not covered in the first technical round is covered here. Apart from that problem solving and data structures are in the limelight during this round.

HR Round/ Interview:

The HR Round was based on Atlassian’s core values. Here the interviewers check if the candidate is culturally fit or not for the organization. Some questions asked in the HR Round include:

  1. Summarize your Engineering journey.
  2. What is the thing you would like to change about your college?
  3. What is the biggest failure in your life? How did u overcome that? Do u regret it?
  4. How do your values align with those of Atlassian?
  5. What role do u love to play in a team?

Sometimes, they conduct face-to-face rounds with the Director and Technical Managers in the Managerial Round.

Interview Experiences:

It is always beneficial if you know what it is to be there at that moment. So, to give you an advantage, we provide you with the Interview Experiences of candidates who have been in your situation earlier. Make the most of it.

Questions asked in Atlassian:

  1. Winner of an election
  2. Root-to-leaf path sum
  3. Majority Element
