IIT Jodhpur Admission Experience for Chemical Engineering 2021

I embarked on the journey of pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering through the rigorous and highly competitive Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in India. The course, Chemical Engineering, is offered at prestigious institutions like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). To secure admission, I successfully cleared JEE Advanced in 2021, after having previously cleared JEE Mains in both 2020 and 2021.

The admission process for IITs, especially for a program as coveted as Chemical Engineering, is extremely challenging. It involves a two-tier examination system, with JEE Mains being the first step and JEE Advanced as the final gatekeeper. The criteria include not only academic excellence but also a deep understanding of complex scientific and mathematical concepts.

The journey was demanding, requiring dedicated and exhaustive preparation. I committed 10-12 hours a day to my studies and had to take a drop year after an initial unsuccessful attempt. However, my perseverance paid off as I ultimately succeeded in clearing JEE Advanced, and securing admission to Chemical Engineering at IIT Jodhpur. This experience has shaped my determination and work ethic, laying the foundation for my pursuit of excellence in higher education.
