AKTU Admission Experience

Entrance Examination for Admission in Various Courses:

The most popular program at AKTU is B.Tech which is offered across 41 different specializations via JEE Mains and CUET UG entrance examinations. Apart from this, the university also offers various other affiliated programs such as B.Arch, B.Pharm, MBA, M.Tech, MCA, Ph.D., etc. In addition to this, the university also offers NBA-accredited programs such as B.Pharm, and M.Tech & M.Pharm at UG & PG level in 50+ affiliated/ associated engineering colleges of AKTU. For D.Pharm JEECUP is held on the basis of which admission is taken in this course. Admissions to AKTU are done on the basis of scores obtained in the national-level entrance examination such as CUET UG, CUET PG, and JEE Main.

Eligibility Criteria to Get Admission:

AKTU admission season usually commences in September-November every year. However, amid the COVID-19 outbreak, the entire admission cycle is delayed. AKTU admission to various courses offered at UG, PG, and doctorate level was granted either based on merit in previous qualifying degree/ exam or rank obtained by eligible candidates in JEE MAINS. However, starting in 2022, AKTU admission will be based on CUET, NATA, or JEE Main to all the courses. 

Counselling Process:

Students who have appeared for the CUET-UG or JEE MAIN entrance test are eligible. Also, candidates who have passed the qualifying examination from any institution located in UP or whose parents are domiciled in UP subject to the eligibility conditions given in the AKTU brochure are eligible for the counseling round.  Candidates can apply online at official website to register themselves for counseling. As per the tentative schedule released, AKTU will conduct six rounds. However, the cutoff rounds are conducted as per seat availability.

The following documents need to be submitted along with the application form for AKTU admission.

• Passport-size photograph.
• Birth certificate.
• Class 10 and Class 12 pass certificates and mark sheets.
• Graduation mark sheets.
• Post-graduation mark sheets.
• Entrance examination scorecard.
• Caste certificate (if applicable).
• Category certificate (if applicable).
