Well! As we all know Zoho is one of the Top product-based companies in India. Cracking an interview and getting a job in this organization is one of the best dreams for every engineering student. Zoho has a main branch at Tenkasi and sub-branches at Chennai and Madurai. In this blog, I am going to share my interview experience at Zoho as a software developer intern.

About Zoho

Well! It is Zoho which stands for Small office, Home office but it is termed as Zoho. It is founded by Sridhar Vembu. The products developed by Zoho are webinars, E-commerce, Marketing automation tools, Web applications, Sales IQ, CRM, and so on. I think this short and sweet description is enough for this MNC.

Recruitment Process

Well like all on-campus drives, there are Aptitude rounds, Technical HR, Coding rounds and General HR rounds. The best thing about this organization anyone can join this organization even without a degree is also ok. Here they didn’t mention the required CGPA or anything. The simple thing is that problem-solving skills and projects matter a lot. The degree is just for living that’s it.

Round 1

In the first round, there are questions from quantitative aptitude, Java / C fill-up questions and simple math. Most questions were tricky and logical thinking is needed as a priority. For aptitude follow India bix, R.S Agarwal and when it comes to coding questions (fill-ups) just concentrate on any one programming language for example if you take Java then complete variables to DSA. Master it with projects and make impressive coding profiles. In this round Problem problem-solving, logical thinking, and critical reasoning types of questions were discussed.

Round 2

In the second round, there are basic and intermediate coding questions you can expect. They will assign a problem statement by using Java you need to solve. In this recruitment team, they expected Java enthusiasts to join. Questions difficulty arise from 500 to 1000. If you have curious problem-solving skills you can make it and this round tests how strong you are good at coding. To crack this round solve questions from Hackerrank, Hacker Earth, Leetcode and so on. There are 3 questions asked in this round and those three questions are from Hacker rank.

Round 3

In the third round, Technical HR round HR will ask questions from core subjects in Computer science and if you want to crack this round you should be strong in DSA, OOPs, OS, CN, DBMS, and any one programming language and the most important thing is give a higher priority in core subjects as every interviewer will ask basic and advance types of questions. The interviewer will ask about the number of projects that you have done and an explanation is expected. The main thing here to be noted is your soft skills and level of confidence.

Round 4

In the last round, the fourth round General HR round Interviewer asked me what is your plan and how long you are going to travel with us. Some tricky and situation reaction questions were asked. They asked about the level of package expected as well as the benefits of this organization & stipend and so on. In this particular round, I represented who I am in just a few minutes like 4 years of engineering in just 4 minutes.

Result

The good news is I got the good package with a position as a Software developer in the domain of network field and at my college out of 300 persons who appeared for the test only 5 have placed in Zoho.

Conclusion

If you want to join your dream organization like these industries make sure to prepare for an interview experience I mean in the pre-final year of college. Most things that matter are your skills and projects no matter how strong academically you are strong even i am holding a 9.4 CGPA they didn’t even ask me and topping doesn’t matter. Keep upskilling and increase your problem-solving ideas.
