It all began with a sudden message informing me about TCS conducting an off-campus hiring drive the following day. Although I felt a bit underprepared, I decided to take my chances and attend the campus drive. I quickly printed my online application form, grabbed my CV, and some necessary documents, hoping it would be enough.

On the day of the drive, I reached the venue and was surprised when they only asked for the online application form. Nevertheless, I handed it over and joined the other candidates for the pre-exam aptitude round. Feeling the pressure, I quickly completed the test, hoping for the best.

Out of the 150 students, they selected only 15 candidates to proceed to the interview round. To my delight, I was among those lucky 15. However, the excitement was tinged with nervousness as it was my first interview with TCS, and it was offline.

I spent some time mentally preparing myself and calming my nerves. Once in the interview room, they asked a bit about myself and some general questions, not directly related to my field. Despite the nerves, I managed to answer confidently. But to my surprise, after this short interaction, they said, “Okay, now you may leave. We’ll get in touch.”

Leaving the interview room, I couldn’t help but feel a bit disheartened. I had hoped for more substantial feedback or at least some indication of how it went. The waiting period seemed long, and I had almost lost hope when, out of the blue, after nearly two months, I received an email from TCS.

They asked me to submit some documents online for verification. I quickly complied and waited with bated breath. A few more anxious days passed, and finally, the moment arrived. I received my 12-month trainee offer letter from TCS. The feeling of joy and accomplishment was beyond words.

The journey from receiving the first message about the drive to receiving the offer letter had been a rollercoaster of emotions – from feeling underprepared to elation on being selected for the interview, from nervousness during the interview to uncertainty during the waiting period, and ultimately, immense happiness on receiving the job offer.

I am genuinely grateful for this opportunity and excited to start my professional journey with TCS. This experience has taught me the value of perseverance, and I can’t wait to contribute my best to the organization.

“May your dreams take flight as you set your sights on joining TCS BPS. Wishing you the best of luck on this exciting journey!”
