Samsung R&D Institute Interview Experience for SDE-1(On-Campus)

Required Skills: C, C++, DSA

Eligibility Criteria: B.E/B.Tech (CSE/IT/ECE/EE)

CGPA: 7.00 and above (throughout career 60% including 10th & 12th)

Job Location: Samsung R&D Institute, sec 126, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

I appeared in the on-campus placement drive for Samsung R&D Institute India — Delhi in July 2021, here at the Birla Institute of Technology Mesra. I think it was a pleasant experience. 

Basically, it was a three-round process.

• Resume Shortlisting: It was the standard resume shortlisting round based on skills and achievements. 
• Online Coding Test:  This round was conducted on the cubes platform and it was consisting of 3 questions from Data Structures & Algorithms with 3, 5, and 5 marks. Topics:  (Basics Arrays, Strings, Linked List, Trees).
• Technical Interview: It started with a project discussion, and I was given two algorithm-based questions (Linked List, Trees). The round was scheduled for 1 hour, 20 minutes for project discussion, and 40 minutes for the questions. The interview lasted for 50 minutes, and I loved the interviewer. He pushed me to my limits and listened to my every thought with great patience. Topics:- (Linked List, Trees, Strings, Bit manipulation, Arrays)
•  HR Interview: It was a typical conversation with HR where she enquired about the family background, current offers, why I want to join Samsung, and short-term and long-term goals. She also informed me about the Samsung Software Competency Test, which we have to appear post-joining.

At the end of the day, the Training and Placement Cell informed me that I have been offered the position at Samsung R&D Institute India — Delhi.
