Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology Campus Experience

Sambalpur University Institute of Information Technology is a Government of Odisha running Institute. It is situated in Jyoti Vihar, Burla, Sambalpur. Also, it comes under Sambalpur University. Here the college provides some IT and computer science courses like BTech in CSE ECE and EEE branch also Mtech and MCA in similar disciplines. The campus is very large in Sambalpur University and it is a small campus in SUIIT as compared to that. Every year so many students join this college as a fresher and then they gain some knowledge some experience and skills. This is a very beautiful campus and it is a small campus within Sambalpur University it is just like a technical building but the large campus of Sample University creates a nice environment for students. There are so many things like a huge playground, central library, University Canteen, NCC ground along with so many departments. In the SUIIT campus there is a small playground also there is a library and so many well-structured classrooms etc. In this college, there are three hostels for students i.e. two boys hostel and one girls hostel for the borders.

CLUBS AND EVENTS

The very beautiful thing about this college is there are 4 different clubs in which they organized so many competitions and the four different clubs are innovation club ,literature clubs , sports club and cultural club.Every year so many competitions are organised by these clubs and the competitions are coding competitions, skill development , debate competition, declamation and rangoli for cultural and so many spell be competitions in literature club also and sports club where the club conducts cricket volley and badminton competitions chess competitions etc. Number of students used to participate in these competitions and also they get some exciting rewards and prizes every year. The cultural club organizes so many festivals like Ganesh puja, saraswati Puja and independence day, republic day where the students also participate and enjoy a lot. Every year in the hostel people used to celebrate diwali Navratri in a different way with so many excitements and enthusiasm.

My journey from first year to final year

In the first year of college, we join as a fresher and in this time period from 1st year to 2nd year we used to gain some experience and we work on our skills and development and also we do some internships and along with that, we have to focus on our good CGPA so students from our college also participate in various events which are organised in our state and national level competitions. From the end of 2nd year and the starting of 3rd year this journey begins with the preparation for internship and placements where each and every students work a lot and also they focus on coding and extra curricular activities soft skills to develop their personality for the placement. In between the last semester of 3rd year and the beginning of 4th year so many students get placed. The highest package of the last year in this college was 18 lakhs per annum. Although it is a tier 3 college but the students are hardworking and they are determined that the students from our college have already brought Google developer student clubs into our college which is the biggest achievement. One of the students from our college have got all Odisha rank one in m. tech OJEE 2023 examination. The second highest package of this college was 12 lacs per annum last year.
