I recently graduated from Raghu Institute of Technology, I pursued the Computer Science and Engineering stream. I had a small college life compared to others as most of them were holidays due to “COVID” (yes, I am from the Covid batch) but nevertheless, the time spent in my college are unforgettable. In my experience, you could consider the campus is good compared with other nearby campuses except in the location of the college, cause it is located at the border of two districts.

Campus Brief:

The Raghu organization is divided into two campuses for pursuing engineering streams and a campus to pursue pharmacy courses, Raghu Engineering College and Raghu Institute of Technology the basic difference is Raghu Engineering College is established in 2000 where the Raghu Institute of Technology was established in 2013 both had the same curriculum. Now, In 2023 the campuses were combined into a single campus as Raghu Engineering Institutions (which could be a University soon). The campus had some good facilities like a 24/7-central library, Incubation center, cricket ground, football ground, Indoor stadium, NCC/NSS, modern labs, latest machinery, central canteen, and much more.

Experience

First-Year:

The first year started a bit late due to elections but helped to gain some minimal knowledge about engineering and to set some goals. As we were admitted a bit late, we were made to sacrifice the fresher’s day, and interaction with our seniors was very less as we used to be in a rush to complete our course work before the stipulated time. The year was completely full of excitement and challenging cause we got introduced to the courses and everyone is in a motivated rush to embark on those courses, which led to the successful completion of the first semester. In the second semester, the course started to incline into the stream, got into the programming, we were completely unaware but the faculty was pretty good with their way of lecturing and providing good practical knowledge from various sources. So, by the end of the first year, covid started to hit and we were finishing our semester examinations within a week of completion, we were pushed into online mode.

Second-Year:

The second year was very pale due to the online mode of lectures, assignments even mock tests. This online had both pros and cons, as we need not attend the lectures in the college and had a chance of working with our interests and majors cons is we lacked the practical knowledge and missed out on the physical experience of lectures.

Third-Year:

This was the fastest year I ever experienced cause the entire year moved on within a blink. This year we moved to the phase of hybrid mode i.e., we used to have the lectures in the online mode and parallelly had examinations in the offline mode. The year was so fast as we spent most months with the examinations and had a countable lecture in the offline mode. The sports and other stuff were completely forgotten as we all are in the rush of completing our 4 semesters within a year but at the end of the year when the covid is completely under control, we had a good time with the fests and workshops.

Final-Year:

This is the year with amusement and anxiety to sit in the interviews and bag a good placement. Everyone just lowered their course work and started to improve their skill set, the management used to arrange sessions to recall the fundamentals, technical concepts, programming, mock interviews, and much more. The placement team puts in a good effort, as they used to get every company from the industry to get placed in top-paying roles and also provide the prior information, certifications required, and flow of the process in the best way. The efforts of the faculty and management were so good to bag the placements but the world had other plans for us, the recession hit the industry and led to a sudden decline of the job market but the management kept all their efforts and brought out some good placements. I was also placed in multiple companies, but the effort behind us was very good and the memories we made in between were so unforgettable, and graduated successfully.
