Salcit Technologies Work Experience as Software Engineer Intern

I worked as a Software Intern for 5 months at Salcit Technologies. I worked on an amazing project with awesome mentors. It was a fantastic experience. I learned a lot of things that will surely help me in the future.

ABOUT THE COMPANY:

Salcit Technologies is an emerging industry in providing digital health solutions for respiratory diseases. Salcit is recognized for its impact on community health and awarded a grant by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Its aim is Revolutionizing Respiratory Healthcare. Swaasa is an app created by Salcit driven by patented AI technology. Salcit is present in 4 countries: Canada, India, US, and Dubai.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

I worked as Software Intern on the project “Swaasa App Development Using Flutter”. The project goal was to understand the functionality of the existing Application which was developed using the Xamarin framework and develop that application using Flutter Framework. The tasks assigned to me were:

1. I did complete Training on Flutter.
2. I developed login UI and connected that to the backend API
3. I developed Patient Registration UI and connected that to the backend API
4. I developed the Symptoms Collection UI
5. I developed Audio Recording Collection UI
6. I connected the assessment backend API to post symptoms and audio data and displayed the response.
7. I developed a results page
8. I developed Patients list page
9. I developed the settings page

PROS:

1)SUPPORTIVE AND GUIDANCE: This internship would not have been possible without the support and guidance I got from this amazing team. I would like to thank Salcit for twisting and pulling my thoughts in unexpected directions and encouraging me to do better. They gave valuable advice whenever I was stuck.

2)VIRTUAL: Being a college student it was difficult for me to balance both work and study, but thanks to the flexible timings provided here, I was able to manage both. And the internship took place in virtual mode which made it easy for me.

Overall, my internship here was a period of great learning and growth for me on both personal and professional fronts. I not only learned the dos and Don’ts of the corporate world but also some of the best lessons I gained that I will carry with me throughout my life. It was an amazing experience. There was so much I learned here. I am glad that I got the chance to work with this team.

The experience gained here will surely help me navigate through the tech world.
