I joined Morgan Stanley as a Spring Intern in January 2022. It was an amazing and enriching experience.

Onboarding

The first few days were filled with onboarding/orientation sessions regarding finance, culture talks, senior leader talks, etc. We were also given a session on connecting remotely to the work systems via the Citrix app.

Training

Till March 31st, we had regular morning classes where plenty of technical subjects like Data Structures and Algorithms, OOPS, Angular, Dotnet, Databases, etc. were taught. We were also given dedicated Pluralsight courses to complete within a given timeline.

Work

Along with this, we were assigned to our dedicated team to start the business-oriented development work. I was given a project on Python, LDAP, Node.js, and Java to make a website that runs a Python script to remove unused extensions existing in the employee database of the contact center department under the wealth management technology department at Morgan Stanley. The manager/buddy was very cooperative and helpful regarding the tenure. At the end, we were asked to present the demo of our project in front of the senior folks of our team. We were also allowed to present it at the org-wide project fair which was an amazing experience.
