a)  Grandfather
b) Mother
c) Grandfather-in-law
d) Sister

B} Find the correct code for: C is the grandson of A?
a) C # B # A $ D
b) C # D # B# A
c) C # B $ A @ D
d) A @ B @ C $ D

C} Insert the correct symbol in space of the question mark: M @ N? P if M is the grandfather of P?
a) @
b)  #
c) # or @
d) $

Ans.

A} As P @ Q # R $ T, in which P @ Q means P is the father of Q, Q # R means Q is the mother of R, and R $ T means R is the husband of B. Then, by following the below image, you can understand that P is the grandfather-in-law of T.
Hence, option (c) is correct.

Family tree of Q3{A}

B} To identify the correct code, you have to go through each option.
By option (a), C # B # A $ D, C # B means that C is the mother of B. This option is incorrect, as we want C as a grandson, which is a male, but from option (a), we learned that C is a female.
By option (b), C # D # B# A, C # D means C is the mother of D. This option is also incorrect, as we want C as a grandson, which is a male, but from option (b), we learned that C is a female.
By option (c), C # B $ A @ D, C # B means that C is the mother of B. This option is incorrect, as we want C as a grandson, which is a male, but from option (a), we learned that C is a female.
By option (d), A @ B means A is the father of B, B @ C means B is the father of C, and C @ D means C is the husband of D. Now that A is the father of B and B is the father of C, it implies that A is the grandfather of C or that C is the grandson of A.
Hence, option (d) is correct.

Family tree of Q3{B}

C} For inserting the correct code, you can do it by going through each option, or you can use codes and a statement to answer the question.
When we say that M is the grandfather of P, we mean that M is the father of P.
M @ N implies that M is the father of N. If we want M to be the grandfather of P, then N should be the father of P. So N @ P means N is the father of P.
Hence, option (a) is correct.

Family tree of Q3{C}
