Persistent Systems Interview Experience (Martian Program) 2023

The Martian Program is on-campus Internship program offered by Persistent Systems for 2023 batch in 2022 and through Martian Program students can also get PPO/full time roles at Persistent.

An assessment was taken for selection in Program.

Online Test: This was the initial step for selection in the program and this step examines you in Aptitude, Logical reasoning and Computer Science fundamentals.
Along with MCQs there were 2 coding questions.

 I was able to perform well in the assessment and hence I was selected for the internship program.

This internship was of 6-week and in every week, we were trained on different topics such as DBMS, Computer Networks, Operating System and DSA. Also, they train us in a Programming Language.

At the end of each week there was an MCQ assessment on the topic you got the trained.

Final Assessment: This final assessment consists of MCQ on the topic that were taught in previous 6 weeks.

After training of all 6 weeks there was a final assessment based on which we had the chance to get PPO.

Advanced Coding Round

This Coding round has 2 medium level coding questions, one was of array and another was on string. The one who successfully completed 1 or 1.5 question got interview call for 7.8 Lpa and rest got 5 Lpa interview calls.
Because of network error my system crashed, and I was unable to complete either of both questions and hence called for being interviewed for the position of 5 Lpa. 

Interview Rounds

 Level-1(L1): Interview started with an formal introduction and then the interviewer asked me question on following topics:

1. OOPs Concepts
2. DBMS concepts
3. Coding question of factorial.

I was able to answer all the questions and hence got mail for L2 interview.

Level-2 (L2): In this interview the questions were little bit advanced and on the following topics:

1. Advanced OOPs with example
2. Computer Networking fundamentals
3. SQL queries
4. Commands of DDL, DML
5. Coding question to reverse a string.

After that I got call for HR and final round of recruitment. 

HR Round: This interview was basic discussion of my hobbies and interest in computer science. Interviewer aksed, how much I know persistent. Are you ready to relocate?

After this final round I got mail for the selection and after a month I got my offer letter.

Result: Selected

Tip:  Be clear with your answers and prepare well the topics that you were taught in training.
