Netaji Subhash Engineering College(NSEC) Fest Experience

Mesmerizer Annual Fest: The annual fest, Mesmerizer, held every December or January, is a highlight for NSEC students. Students can participate in various competitions, and showcase their talents in music, dance, fashion show, beatboxing, and more. Mesmerizer brings the entire college together for a period of celebration and enjoyment.

Avenir Tech Fest: Organized by Phoenix, “The tech club of NSEC”, It is a tech festival. It’s for students who are passionate about technology to explore the latest trends, showcase innovative projects, and participate in coding challenges, tech talks, workshops, and networking opportunities. It is not only about technology but also it includes fun events like treasure hunts, beg borrow steal, and some flagship events like Bplan, Hackathon, etc. Avenir attracts tech enthusiasts from both NSEC and other colleges in Kolkata.

Infinito Inter-College Sports: Here NSEC students compete with teams from other colleges. Students across Kolkata represent their college in various sports like cricket, volleyball, Kabaddi, TT, Badminton, etc., and build friendships through sportsmanship.

Zest Intra-College Sports: Students from different departments compete against each other.

Departmental Fests: Each department in the college organizes its own fest.

Departmental fest of IT is called “Inceptra” , CSE- “MELANGE” , ECE- “Zener”, EE- “Safarnama”, CSBS- “Synclipse”, CE- “Enigma”.

Some pros and Cons of NSEC:

Pros:

• Teachers are incredibly friendly, modest, and helpful.
• Seniors are highly helpful and supportive, assisting incoming students in numerous ways to help them settle into college life more easily.
• Ragging is not permitted.
• A library with a wide selection of books.
• A variety of groups offer pupils the chance to pursue their interests outside of the classroom and build a well-rounded skill set.

Cons:

• The status of the roads near the institution is appalling.
• Absence of a campus.
• Regrettably, the coding culture in our campus falls short of expectations.
