I am one of the students of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College in Tirupati , India. The college offers 15+ B.Tech programs. I got my admission to the B.Tech programme in Information Technology through Eamcet in 2021.

My second year of intermediate was completed in lockdown through online class and I took an Eamcet exam conducted by the Andhra Pradesh government and attended this college through counselling. I am eagerly waiting to go to college to experience college life and it finally comes, the day comes they open college in December 2021.

First day at college: As the college was far from my living area, I joined the college hostel, a three shared room . The first day, college was organizing an orientation program in which each department student was taken care of by the department head and took their students and exposed their respective labs and explained about different clubs and events organized in the past. The day ended with a senior in a section on placement training who was placed on Amazon.

In the first year of college, I started exploring my campus. It contains many facilities which satisfy students, like a huge library with different kinds of books that helps students to enhance knowledge and research opportunities. A digital library, sport & games encourages outdoor games like volleyball, Basketball, Tennis ,Badminton , Cricket and various athletics. Indoor stadium, hostel & dining on this campus has a rule that every student has to take their lunch in the college mess only .They provide hygiene food . A transportation facility is provided for students and faculty coming from different parts of Tirupati city. The cafeteria is equipped with televisions for students, staff and parents to relax while dining.

The students are permitted to carry their own PCs. Students can access the Wi-Fi on the campus through their respective logins provided by the college.

In my second year, I came to know about the various clubs and associations present in our department. The information technology department has Technical Association of information technology(TAIT). It started in 2006. Under this association, students conduct various co-curricular & extra – curricular events. Logic Building club to develop logical thinking and visualizing a problem from various perspectives and creating multiple innovative solutions. Python programming club enhances the problem solving ability of students through programming contests.

Currently, I am in my third year. I like to interact with people, so I connect with many seniors. I come to the conclusion that all the opportunities are surrounded by us. We have to grab them . No one can give you the opportunity. They only show a path to grab the opportunity.
